Letting his eyes close as well as he, too, regained his composure, Arthur silently thanked whatever higher power - magical or not - that made him alive again to give him another chance at his life. He knew just by that simple kiss that Merlin felt the same way about him. Letting him touch as much as he wanted to, Arthur made no move to draw back fully and instead leaned in, nuzzling his mouth against the young wizard's for a moment.
"You're right. We should," he stated as he opened his eyes again. "Which way were you heading before you stopped?" Arthur asked, though he wanted nothing more than to keep kissing Merlin as he held out his hand for the other to take, if he wanted to. "It'll be like us sneaking off back home," he added. Except here, there wasn't anyone that knew them, and they didn't have to go off into the forests or outside the city walls.
