No apology needed - I'm glad (and relieved) that I was able to do it a measure of justice. (I'm finding it challenging to read Plath aloud in general -- as much because of her line lengths (much shorter than I'm used to) as the subject matter -- but also most educational, as I'd never studied her work formally or up close.) I admit that the darkness of Plath's oeuvre (at least in the pieces I am acquainted with) was part of the reason I decided to ask you what you wanted to hear, as I don't yet know you well enough to what you would consider appropriate. *rueful smile*
(On a side note, some of the Thomas Wyatt poems I'll be posting later are on the dark/dour side as well, but he does dark/dour so beautifully... though if you're not in the mood for that (or any of the Plath I self-selected), do feel free to ignore or suggest substitutes. I'm about to be away from my mic until New Year's Day but will be happy to oblige upon my return. *smile*)
I'll leave the header as is, both for consistency's sake and because I trust the other members of the comm to understand. Thank you for suggesting it, however - I do very much appreciate the concern. *yet more hugs*
