He tried to forget about his problems at work by focusing on the weather around them. It was a nice spring day, and families and couples and the odd loner were all out enjoying the respite from the recent rain. Everything looked green and fresh and growing. It was almost enough to make you forget about the Death Eaters running loose, or about the growing evidence that You-Know-Who was on the prowl once again.
"There are some good people with the Aurors," he said mildly. Most of them belonged to the Order, but still. "I'm sure they'll do something about it. And if not - " If not, they might find themselves dragged back into the war again. Just thinking about it made his stomach clench. "Well, I'm sure they'll look into it," he said quickly before taking a bite of his sandwich. It didn't sit very well. Time for a distraction. "So, when are you taking your mandatory vacation time?"
