Normally Dorcas brought her lunch with her to the office as she could get a few things done while she ate, especially if she was in a good rhythm and didn't want to be interupted by silly things like basic human functions. Lately, however, she'd take any excuse to be out of that blasted place. With the higher departments basically coming up with more and more elaborate plans to get them all killed, plus the people in her own department being generally nausiating, she wanted to be as far away from that building as she could manage. Granted, on her break that wasn't particularly practical, but that wasn't exactly the point now was it?
She'd found a small, hole-in-the-wall Muggle food place a few blocks from the Ministry building and the food was pretty decent. Not to mention the price was right and so she'd taken to eating there almost every day that week. It had an interesting jumble of a menu, serving from several different ethnic groups, but that only seemed to increase her interest in the joint. Despite spending several years balancing the Wizarding and Muggle world, Dorcas was continually fascinated by how they could get on without any magic at all. Being a pureblood, that wonder never really goes away.
She took her order and began walking back trying to find somewhere to sit and eat to avoid the awkwardness of eating alone in a restaurant and the mind-numbing migrane inducing experience that had become eating in the office. She located a small park a block or so over and found a relatively clean bench to set up on before checking how much time she had left before it was absolutely necessary for her to make her way back to the Ministry building.
