Dorcas would never admit to anyone, least of all herself, how much she really needed this bloke. He was the only one there who kept her sane, but that wasn't allowed to be talked about. He kept her from having to deal with the realities of being a Pureblooded girl on the verge of being sold into a marriage. They weren't messy. They were clean and they were proper and most importantly, they didn't delve to deeply. That was key.
