Alecto had been idling the time away, reading a book, pacing, chatting a bit with Amycus, until she heard Bellatrix's voice from downstairs. Giggling, she stood and kissed her brother, before practically skipping out of the room and down the hall to the stairs. "Coming!" she called down, taking the steps as quickly as she dared. She landed with a grin on her face, the first real smile that wasn't directed at Amycus since she'd turned herself in all those weeks ago.
Only a day or two ago, Alecto had reached a breaking point. She could only go so long without getting out of the house and doing something that made adrenaline pump through her body before she cracked; her intense boredom, coupled with her always-precariously stable mental state, had broken through her usual demeanor to make her temporarily act more like her cousin than she ever had. And it was fun. Now she knew why Bella didn't mind her insanity.
"What are we doing?" she asked curiously, eyes wide with excitement. She noted Rabastan's presence, and was slightly irked by it, but said nothing. They'd actually had a normal conversation for once, so perhaps she could put up with him for a little while; besides, if she stayed in this mood, she'd be much more agreeable and pleasant than usual.
