Lily fought to keep her temper from flaring up. He was just concerned, just concerned. She had to remember that. It always frustrated her when people treated her like something breakable, especially when she could kick their arses at whatever they happened to be doing. And she had to remember that she did want him to stay in there with her while she slept, and she had to consciously remember that because her irritation was making it very difficult. She took a deep breath and let it out to relieve some of the tension she felt, and relaxed against her husband.
"If I say I'm fine, it means I'm fine; you know I hate being babied, but if something was really wrong, I'd tell you. I do appreciate being taken care of when I need it, but I don't need it as often as you think I do. I'm not far enough along in this pregnancy to need you to do everything for me; I can still make dinner and do a bit of the washing, although Harry's been doing that for the last month," she admitted. And she thought she was doing a very good job of pushing aside any negative feelings; any strong emotion tired her out, not that she even needed an excuse to be tired lately.
