Dorcas rolled her eyes, choosing not to dignify that excuse with a response. Doing so would only encourage him, and really, the elf did enough of that for him. Instead, she busied herself with using her wand to move the clutter that had been on the floor to various corners of the room, rationalizing that at least she wouldn't trip over it, and it was easier to clean if it was all in piles.
She could feel the repulsive glare of the elf behind her, but didn't turn around to acknowledge the creatcher. She didn't care if the blasted thing despised her or was offended at her tidying up. Maybe it would take a hint. She highly doubted so, but a girl could hope.
"I'm not leaving you here with..." She stopped herself from saying something about the elf to Regulus. He was testy about that subject and well, she was encroaching enough. "I'm not leaving you to get worse when I came to make sure you were alright." She said after a moment. "Besides, if that Pepper-up doesn't work, I have a few other ideas." Granted, they were methods she'd be just as happy not using, but she wasn't simply going to leave him here like this. She wasn't entirely sure she'd consider them friends, but he certainly wasn't her enemy and that was really the only type she'd be happy to leave in such a state. Enemies and that blasted elf who was getting closer now...
"Master Regulus needs his rest and oughtn't be bothered by visitors." The elf very nearly spat. Dorcas was almost certain she'd heard him add a muttered 'blood traitor' under his breath, but couldn't be completely sure.
