ONE WEEK LATER<3
“I know you do,” Alecto replied, sighing. She was glad for his closeness and affection after going for so long without it. But she still didn’t understand how he could want to see her when he was upset with her. It might have helped if she could out herself in the same situation, but she was never angry enough with him to warrant not wanting to be near him; in fact, Alecto had a hard time remembering a time when she was ever angry with him. She had been angry at situations and people who kept them apart, but never Amycus himself. He simply could do no wrong in her eyes. Or if he did, it was anger, but hurt she felt. Like all his talk of marriage and heirs. It never irritated, but always hurt, always felt like he was casting her aside for someone better.
“So you promise you won’t get angry if I want to talk to you even if you’re upset with me?” Silly question to ask, as he had just said that, but she needed the reassurance; she needed him to be perfectly clear, so that if he did get angry with her, she could say he had told her he wouldn’t. That and it was just good to hear that he wanted to be near her.
