Alecto sighed as she visibly relaxed, the tension in her body leaving her as she realised that Amycus really wasn't angry with her any longer. "I really am," she tried again. "I just thought you were angry with me, so I stayed out of your way." Again, only a partial truth, but Amycus didn't need her burdens on top of his; he had enough to worry about with himself without taking on her needs more than usual. "You're not angry with me anymore, are you?" she asked rather tentitively. Alecto was pretty sure he wasn't, but she really needed to make sure; if he still harboured any anger towards her, she needed to dispell it as soon as possible.
It may seem like Alecto was fixated on Amycus not being angry with her, and she was. Amycus was the most important person in her life, and she needed him to be alright with her. Otherwise, she'd just have to keep herself locked up and away from him until he was alright with her again. She wanted to come out and be near him and talk like nothing was wrong, but in order to do that, nothing could be wrong; Alecto was just not that good an actress.
