Andromeda Tonks: disappointing mothers since 1971 (dromatic) wrote in rebel_rebel,
Andromeda shook her head as best she could, being wrapped up in a tight hug. "I'm still intact," she replied. "It could've been so much worse."
There were all sorts of things she wanted to say. She wanted to apologize for worrying him, she wanted to thank him for not doing anything stupid for her, nag at him about being too thin, and yell at him for his behavior, all at once. Instead she just kept hugging him. He was a little brother to her, and nothing would ever change that. "Yeah," she choked out, annoyed that her voice had cracked. She wasn't going to cry.
She forced back her tears with a laugh as he carried her back inside. She nodded in agreement. "Much better." They were out of the cold air, at least. She smiled and shook her head. "No, I'm pretty durable."
