Andromeda Tonks: disappointing mothers since 1971 (dromatic) wrote in rebel_rebel,
Andromeda didn't like to hear her daughter speaking so pessimistically, but really, she was just being realistic. It would've been incredibly naive to think that Bellatrix would just let them go even if she managed to get what she wanted out of this. She didn't say anything in response to that, because she just couldn't bring herself to say she might not be able to get them out of there alive. "The lot of them aren't exactly the most level-headed during times like these. Maybe Remus, but I don't know if even he can keep them from doing anything foolish." She sighed softly and rubbed her temples. She really was worried about Ted, as much as she was making light of it. She hadn't spent a night away from Ted ever since appearing on is doorstep the night she left the Black family. As juvenile as it might have sounded, she missed him. "At least they haven't tried to storm the door yet..."
She sighed again and shook her head. "We can play he blame game from now until Bellatrix finally commits herself to St. Mungo's. Whatever happened between us and her is in the past. It's done with, and now we're in this situation and need to find a way out of it." Andromeda meant that, but she wasn't going to agree to her daughter's demands. Making sure Nymphadora got out safely was her number one concern. "Yes, you are more valuable than me. She's going to be more willing to let you go because you'll hold more leverage to the Ministry if they do agree to negotiate with her. Though honestly, the likelihood of them even talking to a known felon isn't great." She looked over at her, and shook her head. "If we can find a way to get you out of here, you can bet we're going to take it. And if we can both get out, then we'll do that. I won't hear otherwise."
