He hit the wall with the side of his fist, leaving a dent. Letting out a string of curses, he stood and turned away from Alecto, then started pacing. "The Ministry's going to be snooping around soon enough, once they discover that she's missing. If we both stay here for the rest of the night, then they won't have any proof we were involved. I'll burn the sheets and say she was never here." He stopped and glared at his little sister. "Do you understand what I'm telling you? She was never here. After last weekend, she was so upset about the Aurors bursting in that she left and refused to see me again." With any luck, she wouldn't have told anyone where she was going.
