Lily had to admit that she was slightly impressed at how much food Scorpius was managing to fit in his mouth while still observing proper manners. It was mildly remarkable, and after a few seconds, Lily set down to eating her own meal. She started cutting small bites--an old trick she had learned to make it look as though she was intending to eat more than she was going to--but actually started eating them. The chicken was good, nothing remarkable, but certainly something that her palate welcomed after such neglect.
"This is good," Lily complimented after swallowing a mouthful of the bread. She got up to refill her glass of water, and took a large sip as she walked back to the counter to sit down. "Do they?" she asked curiously, eating a couple more of the small bites of chicken that she had cut. "They don't really bother me. And I certainly got used to the lazy lifestyle we had on our....honeymoon." That felt awkward to say, and Lily glanced around her glass to see if Scorpius had any reaction to it as well.
