"You're sweet, and you're cute. I figured why not?" she shrugged her shoulders, giving him a playful grin. The fact that he even questioned why she kissed him instead of going for it like most men would was a testament to the fact that he really was a gentleman. This wasn't her first rodeo, and she knew men well enough to know that they usually took up on whatever she had to offer. She was well-adept in using her feminine wiles to get men or to get men to do what she wanted. Whether or not she was in need was up for debate. She was the kind of person who refused to think she needed help, and it had taken her a long time to break down and accept Angel's assistance when she reached her lowest point.
Stealing another doughnut from his stash, she stood up and gave him a flirty wink. She would definitely have to meet up with him again sometime if they were both going to be stuck there indefinitely. "It was fun meeting you, Rogers," she gave him a little salute. "We'll have to do this again sometime. It's kind of fun to watch you blush."
She turned on her heel to head off, a teasing sway in her hips. Over her shoulder, she called out to him impishly. "I'll have your money next time, Captain. Maybe I can take you out instead."
