"Faith," she replied back in introduction. Steve had such a genuine, boy scout smile on his face. While it was growing more and more doubtful that he was trying to play her, she had to admit that if he was, he was doing a good job of playing the part. They came to an agreement regarding the moment, but no matter what he said, she planned on paying him back in full. She hated being indebted to other people because it meant they were able to hold something over her head. Still, Steve had been incredibly kind to her during their meeting, and he even put up with her antics even though it clearly made him uncomfortable. In remembrance of the awkwardness that crossed his features, a Cheshire Cat grin graced her lips. It would be worth keeping him around just to get that reaction out of him.
"So, Steve Rogers, are you from around here?" she asked. It was her way of trying to figure out if he was one of the many townspeople, or if he was special like a handful of others in Red Oak. She had the suspicion that he might be, but she wanted to confirm it. Looking him over, she was reminded of Riley Finn, Buffy's beefcake boyfriend from college. They seemed to be cut from the same nice guy cloth, and they were both filled out rather well. Riley had been a lot of fun to take for a ride while she was in Buffy's body, but she remembered the unfortunate way the body swap ended. Returning her attention back to their conversation, she raised a questioning eyebrow at him.
