"I'm not going to kill you," Faith said quickly, perhaps a little quickly. There was a touch of alarm in her eyes. When she made the teasing comment, she hadn't really thought too much about it until he asked her to refrain from doing so. The logical part of her knew that he was probably teasing in kind, but it struck closer to home than she thought it would. Her hands balled up into tight fists, crumpling the twenty in her hand in the process. Shaking her head to herself, she cleared those thoughts from her head and clung on to another bit of their conversation. "Well, you haven't seen me dressed for the night light, buddy. I'm sure I could rock your world if I really wanted to."
Her devilish smirk was back in place, and it was far more fitting than the vulnerable one that managed to break through for a moment. She looked up at him in amusement when he seemed to be so offended about fondue. Faith wasn't sure what she was talking about or even what he was talking about. She'd never had fondue, and she had no idea who the Starks of the world was. Still, it was pretty funny to see him get his dander up over something that she didn't understand. She made a mental note to look up fondue. Maybe she was missing some kind of funny inside joke.
"Fine, I'll get you your money. Tonight even," she said with a long suffering sigh. He was adamant. In Faith's opinion, it was a little silly for her to imagine that she would get an actual job. The last time she had one of those was. . .well, never. Slaying didn't pay either though it was more of her destiny than her job. All she had were her street smarts, and she had a feeling that he wouldn't be too keen on stolen money. She could find one of those dive bars later and hustle a guy in some pool. That seemed like a more fitting prospect. "Since you're not going to take the money back, and we've decide I'm going to pay you back, I guess I'll just accept the twenty."
Faith took the money and neatened out the wrinkles before folding it up and sliding it into her back pocket, offering him a cheeky grin.
