Paladine watched the scene in amusement. "Bravo. Miss Quinn. Job well done! Your acrobatics is extremely impressive. I hardily approve." What exactly he approved was up to debate. He might have been giving the boy's marriage proposal a seal of approval for all they knew.
"And you, sir knight of the pizza!" His voice was loud and commanding but still managed to hold a sense of kindness. "Try not to run off. Harley will need your help, and you still need to be paid." The delivery boy, who looked absolutely terrified at being singled out by a creature that could eat him, meekly nodded and made a weak attempt to help Harley out. "And don't forget the breadsticks, after all they are the most important part of the meal."
One of the children, a girl no older than five with red curls poked Paladine on the side. "Do we get to keep you?"
Paladine chuckled, "I'm not quite sure about anyone keeping me, I don't think I'd fit in your backyards. But I do believe my stay will be of the long term, so you're all more than welcome to visit should you see me."
Several adults looked worried, but the children were more than pleased before swarming around Harley and the shakey delivery boy for the pizzas. A few of the adults even flocked around them to lend a hand with the pizza distribution, which was a good thing as the teenager was in no condition to hand out hot pizzas to the wanting children.
