Jaw set. Now that the truth was out, there was no going back, and she had to be strong. There were several things she could show him. Her left sleeve was rolled up revealing a pale pink scar on the forearm.
"You startled my horse," Marian reminded him. "I fell off and you tried to goad me, cut me so I would speak. And then I punched you." And rode as hard as she could in the opposite direction.
Then she pulled up her shirt, tugging her pajama pants a bit lower on her waist, revealing a large, jagged, scar on her midsection. One not yet completely healed. "You taunted Robin...advised him that you would think of him on our wedding night. I knocked you down the stairs...and you punched me...stabbed me with your curved blade."
