Seth didn't normally give this many chances to escape, but Kitty was already an exception in many ways. He slid her name over his tongue like candy, with obvious interest, as if the lett'ers alone gave him pleasure.
"It's not supposed to be ominous, just private." He edged in closer, still smiling. People didn't usually offer themselves up so obviously, but if someone like Kitty did--most people weren't like her. It upset him in ways he didn't know how to quantify. He could tell that without trying. He could also tell she was still human, after all of that.
"I'm going to go into your mind, and come up with everything you don't want me to." Seth took his hands out of his pockets to hand by his sides. "This is your last chance to back out."
