Kitty stared at the packet of tissues that had been set down on the wall with the same fierce glare that Seth had been fixed with only moments before. She almost expected them to be laced with chili, or poison or something awful like that. Perhaps spiders. She glanced back to Seth, shaking her head just a fraction, barely an inch either way as she sat back down on the wall.
"Please, don't look after me ever again," she all but whispered under her breath - though it was definitely loud enough that Seth would have heard, and then she just watched him walk away, both emotionally and physically exhausted. As soon as she was sure that he was leaving, her head dropped back into her hands and the sobs started up again - hard, loud, sobs that made her whole body shake.
Kitty was really glad that Seth had left her in the courtyard before this had happened HAH, she didn't think she could bear the knowledge that he had witnessed the proof that he had won, in whatever stupid game they had apparently been playing. All the more convinced that she should just isolate herself for the rest of her life, she finally reached for the tissues and blew her nose hard. Well, she had certainly learnt her lesson.
