The Players: Erik Lehnsherr and Billy Kaplan
What: In light of the alien invasion, Billy goes to face the AU version of his grandfather.
Where: Grounds For Insanity
When: A hour after this
Rating: Probably G-PG
Billy had been on the roof of the mansion when the ships had first appeared. His first thought was to teleport himself somewhere far far away, but after trying for five minutes, all he got was a migraine. He had sat on the roof, and used his phone to do the one thing he had been against doing for since he first talked to Charles Xavier. But with the aliens coming, he didn't want to do this alone. Sure he knew that this man wasn't the right version, but it was still Erik Lehnsherr, and that meant that to Billy, he was family. And family meant the world to him. It was the only thing he had here, so he was going to go for it. Even if it meant looking like some crazy person.
After he set up the meeting, Billy had sat there for the whole hour. Just waiting down the time. He was nervous and was already sparking because of it. He thought he had it all under control until he moved again and got hit in the head with his own headband. He kicked the piece of metal back over to his make shift tent camp and flew up into the air. He was keeping his costume locked away, so he flew just high enough to where people couldn't tell who or what he was. A little magic to hide his true form from others helped too. If they looked up, they would just see a raven flying by.
As he neared the coffee shop, knowing where it was because he'd been there nearly all hours of the day since his arrival, he let his spell drop and dropped down onto the roof with ease. He hurried off the roof and leaned against the side of the building to catch his breath. He closed his eyes and wrapped his fingers around the Star of David charm necklace he had around his neck. It had been a gift from his adopted mother, and he was glad he had it now. Even if it was just a piece of metal, it was a piece of home and he needed to focus on that. If he didn't get himself under control, he didn't want to think of what would happen.
"Okay Kaplan, get it together..." He took another deep breath. "What would Captain America do?" He snorted to himself as he ran a hand through his hair. "Not get himself stuck in this mess in the first place." Snarking at himself seemed to calm him enough that he had stopped putting on a mini light show with his fingers. Once he was sure he wasn't going to start again, Billy magicked himself up a jean jacket and baseball cap, donning them and then heading into the coffee shop.
