The sentiment of Sean's statement touched Kitty far more than she would ever admit, and that simple sentence did more to make her feel at home in that room than any other effort - as lovely as they all had been, of course. It was exactly what she had always felt at home, in Xavier's mansion, even if it had never if rarely been said in as many words. She smiled brightly, far more at ease than she had been since she had entered the room, and before she even thought anything of it she leaned over and gave Sean's arm a small squeeze.
"Thanks," she murmured softly - and it took exactly that long for her self-consciousness to catch up with her actions and the usual blush and retract came back into full swing. With a small laugh as she fiddled a little with the end of the plait draped over her shoulder, she looked at the people within the room and shrugged. It was a little easier with a few names to faces, but it was still rather overwhelming, and with all the laughing and joking amongst old friends it was very easy to feel isolated in a situation like this. It just made her all the more glad of Sean's effort to point the people that he did know around the room. Between that and that all too touching remark of earlier, it was almost like she belonged. Almost.
"Well yeah okay. It's not like I can't see how it would be useful, the ability. I just mean like..." Me, the unfinished sentence practically screamed, and she ducked her head slightly as she began to pick slightly at her thumbnail. "Anyway, I'll just help out where I can. Just so, at least you know I'm happy to pitch in on the group effort and all,n you know."
