Raven quickly shovelled some of the chicken and vegetables onto her plate - a rather large serving considering the size and build she was, but it was a well known fact that Raven could eat for at least three of her. Sitting herself back down opposite Erik, she took the time to eat some of the food she had in front of her before responding to his question.
"It's good," she mumbled appreciatively, and yes she was avoiding a little bit but who could blame her. She was trying to tread as carefully as possible, but aware that the deflections would probably just irritate Erik more, she took a short breath and just threw herself right into the deep end.
"I'm sorry about what you found out, and I'm sorry about the way you found out," she said in as firm a tone as she could manage in her current state, "But I'm not sorry I tried to keep it from you. You don't deserve to feel the guilt of a future that isn't even necessarily yours. I didn't want you to have to go through that."
