Raven shook her head, gesturing vaguely with her fork and the impaled vegetable on the end of it as she sighed slightly. "So, see I'm sorry, but I think your wrong. First of all it is not your guilt to feel. It is some...other worldy Erik Lehnsherr's guilt to feel. He is not you."
She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts briefly before she spoke again. Raven was very well aware of her tendency to ramble if she didn't actively think over every word she wanted to say. She had a lot of things she wanted to convey, a lot of them she didn't quite know how to voice, but there was one thing of which she was very certain.
"Erik, look. There was- I found some things out about me in this, in Laura Kinney's...universe I guess. Things that I wish someone had taken the measures to say on my behalf 'No, she doesn't need to know'. I was giving you that courtesy. I was stupid to think you wouldn't find out, I realize that. But I'm not going to stop trying to protect the feelings of the people I care about any time soon, so don't waste your breath telling me to do so."
She pursed her lips slightly as she finished speaking, watching him very closely for a reaction. She let out a soft sigh, shoved the vegetable on her fork into her mouth and just let her eyes drop to the table. After a little shunting around of the vegetables and chicken, she put the fork down and clasped her hands together as she geared herself up to speak again before Erik could get his own thoughts out.
"The main thing is: It hasn't changed my view of you. It hasn't changed Charles' view of you. If I told you the things I'd learnt, I'd hope at least it wouldn't change how you thought of me. Isn't that the most important thing? That person isn't you."
