He had no doubt that she was dangerous. Plenty residents of Red Oak were and the only reason that didn't trouble him was because they weren't going around wrecking havoc with their particular gifts. His measure of respect for her grew when she acknowledged that should she become a menace, he should do whatever he could to stop her.
On the other hand, it just made him that much more nervous about what her particular abilities might be.
He had a feeling she wouldn't be one for idle chit-chat so he fell in silently behind her. It was a fair distance to Metropolis and he might as well conserve his strength. If she wanted to talk, he'd be happy to oblige, he just wasn't going to fill in the silence to avoid it.
