Laura tilted her head at him with an interest that wasn't exactly clinical, just--distant, like the eyes of an owl or a cat. He maintained eye contact, was not disturbed by threats, and promised to keep her secrets intact as long as she was not a public menace. She didn't trust him, but she expected he didn't trust her either, and that put them on equal footing.
"I understand. I am dangerous. However, I do not intend to be dangerous to this town. If I become so, you should inform the police and military of all the tactically relevant details you know about me." Maybe, Laura thought, if they knew enough...they could stop her, if they had to.
"Follow me, Rory Williams." She strode out of Grounds for Insanity purposefully, evidently having decided the preliminary conversation was over.
