"Welcome to Red Oak indeed. What a welcome," Kitty laughed, shrugged her shoulders but she quietened a little at he thought of there being no school for her here. That school was everything to her, these days. It was her real home, the only place she felt truly comfortable in herself. Yes, it helped that she had managed to have the sheer good luck of running into Sean in this new, strange town, but that didn't mean she felt any less homesick already.
"If, if there's not a school, where am I supposed to stay?' She asked Sean, not sure why she expected him to have all the answers, but the words showed a brief vulnerability that she tried to hide from most people. She had never been without a place to call home, even before Xavier's School she had always been welcomed at home. Now she was left with nothing, just the school books tthat Sean was currently holding for her. She had never worked before, never lived on her own, how was she supposed to survive this?
Rather than panic, though, Kitty just let out a slow exhale through her teeth and then was back with the bright smile. "Well, since it doens't look like I've got much of a choice, reckon they'll let me stay at this bed and breakfast place until I get a foot in? I could make myself useful."
