"Charles, if you don't mind." Charles smiled back warmly, with absolutely no offense taken - they hadn't established his name, so no one could have their dander up about it. "I hope you weren't left waiting too--oh my God."
Charles dropped the hand he had been offering to the Doctor and looked around the TARDIS with the bright, disbelieving eyes of a child, his look of bafflement swiftly turning into delight. It was absolutely stupendous, far beyond what he would have guessed at, and when he did look at the Doctor he beamed.
"It's much--much bigger on the inside. What a smashing device--oh, excuse me--" he offered his hand again, "I forgot my manners."
