Charles peacefully allows himself to be undressed, enjoying the fact that he can allow this. With Erik there's no need to pretend at greater competency than he actually possesses, which is something he often feels is an obligation with their gaggle of youths. It's a bit funny that despite the relatively small difference in their ages Charles feels so obligated to be responsible for them, but it's an almost dark humor.
Regardless, it's a relief to be held to Erik's chest, and Charles negotiates himself to have his ear directly over Erik's heartbeat. He doesn't want anymore wine, not as long as he has Erik. But he notices the positioning, and it makes him feel safe--safe from himself, and his worse urges.
"I'm unsettled. That's all." It's technical truth, because Charles doesn't want to be deceptive beyond what he has to for the moment. He drapes his arm over Erik's stomach and hums with closed eyes. It's best to just absorb the way Erik is so--eminently present, and not to dwell on anything else for the moment.
"I'm glad you don't think I'm silly," which is a subtle yet important variation on what Erik actually said, but it's one Charles is confident in, "Because I mean it all very much."
