Raven was making a very particular point not to let herself wallow over what had happened lately. Granted, she had some very good excuses to do so - to her, anyway - and wallowing in self pity could be very satisfying at times, but it wasn't going to happen today. Wallowing led to over thinking, and over thinking was something that she absolutely could not let herself do while she was here. Raven had decided almost immediately after discovering Charles had arrived, that he was going to be in charge of the 'finding out what had happened to them and fixing it now' division, which he seemed to be doing rather admirably. She would, in the mean time, just do what she always did. Torment Charles, work out, bake and maybe persuade one of the other 'kids' to get up to some mischief with her.
Raven was rather occupied with having a test-run of a few people she had seen wandering around the town. Standing in front of the mirror, she changed her image into that of a young looking red head, then a slightly shorter brunette with almost more hair than body, finishing up with a slim and very pale boy with dark hair. The knock jolted her out of her amusement and she quickly reverted to her default - not her natural form, of course. The words of Charles from so long ago about slip ups echoed loudly in her head, and she didn't want to risk anything in this new place. She frowned and looked at the door uneasily. Charles hadn't told her he was coming back so soon.
Raven quickly changed her image again. A small blonde girl walked over to the door and grabbed hold of the heavy hairbrush that Charles had been using the night before. It wasn't much of a weapon, but Raven could be industrious, and she would have the element of surprise on her side anyway. Eight year old girls tend not to attack, after all. Opening the door very slowly, she peeked out through the crack only to suddenly drop the brush and throw the door wide open.
"Erik!" Raven all but shouted as she went straight back to her normal appearance, surprised but ridiculously happy at the same time. "What are you doing here? When did you arrive? Come in, quick!"
