"God, I'm getting all the reptile comparisons today, aren't I." Raven said, surpressing the small giggles that were brought up at the thought herself asa velociraptor, "I would make quite a good dinosaur though, I think. Never try to lisp, though. I may have to disown you as a brother if that starts to happen." She tried to make the threat sound as sserious as possible, and failed miserably. She just couldn't keep the amused smile from tugging at the corners of her mouth and it ruined the act completely.
She stuck her finger into the icing on top of the cup cake that Charles had grabbed quickly, digging off some icing and popping her finger into her own mouth will a small smirk. Yes, there were plenty there and she could have just grabbed her own, but half the fun of it was in taking from someone else.
"Oh if I had known I would have harassed the truth from you, surely you should know that by now," she smiled and flopped back onto the couch, twisting slightly so that she could prop her feet comfortably into Charles' lap. When it came to comfort, Raven rarely had respect for personal space and this was particularly true when it came to Charles.
"I would have hounded you endlessly. I could have had so much boy talk with you and it would have been just like having a proper lady friend!" She joked, of course, but it was a bit of a sore point for Raven all the same. She had never done well at making friends, particularly through school when she had still been so angry at the world for everything. Her mutation, her inability to ever be herself without fear of persecution, it had all manifested itself in very hostile, very awkward personality traits that made it hard for her to connect with others. It was something she had been growing out of more and more as time had gone by, and the time in the facility in particular had done a lot of good in helping her with that, but she was far from past all that.
"I'm really glad you told me though, okay? Secrets are stupid. I love you regardless, idiot. No more of that."
