Charles hugged Raven tightly in relief, letting out a shaky burst of laughter as he buried his face just a little in the lovely tumble of her hair. He should have known, of course, that Raven would be better than that, and in a way he had, but having it confirmed did make him feel much better.
"I'd hoped you'd say something like that, yes." He squeezed once more before letting go, but kept her hands on her shoulders as his eyes shone a bit bright. He didn't attempt to hide that and he felt no shame for it: they'd had a long, emotional day, and they had covered a great deal of mutual revelation.
"There. We know you ought to feel better about being blue, and your brother is sometimes a bit fancier than you might have expected--although if you had suspected I wouldn't be surprised, I've been told I can be a bit fey." ...'a bit', yes, although the original source of such comments had been their stepfather, and they'd had nothing to do with anything he actually knew about Charles. When Charles had fixed him he'd only touched those things which would effect how he'd treat Raven and his mother--he couldn't change everything, it would have been too obvious, so Kurt kept most of his fundamental unpleasantness. He was just easier to live with, and Charles dealt with occasional bruises (physical or emotional) as relatively much better than most people got.
