Raven just laughed and poked her tongue out at Charles. "I am so much more useful than for my baking skills, thank you very much." She huffed dramatically and smiled at him. It was far easier to revert back into her usual habits, teasing Charles and eating cupcakes and just generally acting like normal, because she couldn't even really begin to comprehend what had actually happened to them. Sure, she joked about it, called it 'cool' and 'kickass', but if Raven thought about it too much and tried to process what had really happened here, she probably would lose the togetherness she was fighting to hold onto.
Taking an unnecessarily large bite of her own cupcake, she settled in against Charles and rest her head on his shoulder, chewing hard so that she could actually form some words. "Well," she started with a mouthful, then swallowed and got comfortable again, "It's been a really long day."
Raven smiled, but she couldn't help but feel quite sad as she thought over the days events. "It's been a really, really long day, actually. Me and Hank- I mean, before I wound up here, we were uh..." she just shrugged and sighed with exasperation - she was living life as a sort of teenager at the moment, so she was going to take advantage of that by all means -- before closing her eyes. "It's just so stupid. He found a cure."
