"You want me to assist your little human charade," Elena asked with a rather surprised look. There was a lot of things that Elena could have imagined Anna asking her for, actually, ranging from small and sense-making to the totally incredulous, and she couldn't believe that that thought hadn't actually crossed her mind. It made sense, too. Anna had spent hundreds of years trying solely to get her mother out of a tomb. Elena respected that kind of dedication, it was true, but to actively keep people from finding out about Anna...
"Conditions." Elena said firmly. Granted, she wasn't exactly in a position to negotiate - Anna did have the whole murderous vampire angle on her - but she also had a wooden stick and a lot of vervain in her system, so she was going to push her luck while she had the advantage on her side. Anna wanted her silence, it was coming at a price.
Elena folded her arms over her chest, eyeing Anna for a moment before continuing. "If people start dying, you're outed. You keep yourself quiet and I will keep quiet, but as soon as I hear so much as rumours of vampire related deaths, that's it." She frowned, trying to sound as firm and unbudging as possible. Anna could just tell her where to shove it in response, but Elena was kind of hoping that the more determined she sounded, the more likely Anna would believe her threat.
