Christmas and New Years went off without a hitch, mostly. Christmas had been about a bit of presents exchanging and not burning the TARDIS up, either. New Years, she'd been turned into a child version of herself and that had been odd, but she did get her memories of Rory back because of it. Made that bit of weirdness (although when you ran with the Doctor, how could that be weird?) worth it. No longer did she feel like something was out of reach, just beyond her grasp and that fuzzy feeling had disappeared altogether, now that her memories were no longer all water coloured and faded, almost.
'Course, the New Year also meant Amy needed to hopefully find a job. She'd been out, applying at the various shops in town and was even putting one in at the coffee place, Grounds for Insanity. She wasn't a big coffee drinker, tea was more her thing, but it was a chance to get a job. One where she didn't go around kissing people, although she'd do that again if that turned out to be the only job she was even good at.
As she was almost out the door with her cup of coffee in hand, she noticed out of the corner of her eye a woman sitting at one of the tables with a book. The woman was ginger, much like herself and something, she didn't know what, made her want to talk to her. While she didn't know it, the woman was a former companion (from Amy's point of view, not the woman's) of the Doctor and perhaps it was because of this, why she wanted to talk to her.
"What are you reading?" Amy asked with a quick nod to the novel in the other woman's hand, as she stopped in her pursuit to pass by the table, to make her question look just a bit natural, at least.
