The thought of Sasha using whatever kind of freakish connection they had thanks to being exposed to that horrible tar of hers to find him here? That was messed up. If she'd leapt realities with that connection? A chill ran up his spine. Hopefully her coming here was just a coincidence and she used that damned connection once in Red Oak to track him down. He really needed to find a way to break that off. ASAP.
Standing still as a statue as she circled him, Cole was as ready as ever to lash out if need be. But he wasn't an idiotβSasha was a powerful conduit and capable of unleashing plenty of havoc at the slightest whim, and Red Oak was too small a town to handle a battle royale between the two of them. Of course, he was a hell of a lot more powerful now than they're last meeting; maybe he could just kick her ass quickly and try and knock some sense into her.
If there was any sense left to be had in that head of hers.
"That's because it's been months since I've last seen you, Sasha. A lot's changed," he began, eyes narrowing at the notion of 'missing' her. "Look, don't get me wrong, you helped me out when Moya went batshit and had me locked up, and I'm glad you got out of that mess alive," Sasha might be crazy, but she didn't deserve to die at the hands of Moya or any of her lackeys. "But did I miss you? That's pushing it."
