Though he had been removed from the world at a young age and never once brought to court, the authority in Arthur's voice, despite his young years, was also reassuringly familiar to Lohengrin as well. This world seemed to be a bit more chaotic in its hierarchy, something that he could adapt to a bit better because of his cloistered life, but still something he had yet to understand in its full effect. He rose as he was bid and slowly lifted his gaze to hold the King's. He accepted the second greeting with a slight smile, grasping Arthur's arm in return and noting with some satisfaction the strength of the younger man. That at least bode well for the king who would become legend.
"Likewise, my lord," he answered, his smile growing as he nodded his agreement. He waited for the king to step first then fell in beside him. "I am the younger son of Percival. My brother inherited his secular lands, I was chosen to serve at the temple of the Holy Grail. There I was to await a sign, a call to champion whomever on Earth should have need of me. I was called by the prayers of the Lady Elsa of Brabrant. Her brother had been lost and evil persons sought her father's lands by treachery."
"I was granted to stay should she only not ask me my name and birth." He fell into his memories for a moment before he concluded simply, "She was deceived and tempted into the question. I revealed my name and true nature, and broke an enchantment on her brother before I was returned to the temple, never to set foot on mortal Earth again." He turned his attention to the king. "Yet I heard the temple bell. I cannot remember how long it had been but once again I was called forth. I found myself here."
