War torn? Why would Heaven be war torn? The sound of that made Cole's brows furrow in confusion and minor worry. What about the souls of the dead? Were they wrapped up in that kind of stuff? Was everyone going to be robbed of a paradise one way or another? It seemed like everything was damned, one way or another. Even if he'd never really believed in Heaven before, the thought of it actually existing and being riddled with strife didn't sit well with him. It should be a place of peace, right? Humans got enough shit on Earth, they didn't need if after they died too.
Drawing in a sharp, short breath, Cole nodded. "If you could... it'd be nice to know that she's at peace somewhere, you know? Her death wasn't exactly... happy." It was difficult for him to say, and he began shelling up the instant he said it, but Cole wanted to know if she was happy and safe in the afterlife somehow. If there was such a thing, such a place as Heaven, Trish would be there and she deserved the best it could offer her; to make up for all he couldn't give her in life.
Whatever permission Cas needed, he had it. If this was all really possible and he could know, hell, maybe he could actually feel somewhat at peace too.
