"Cas, just walking out the door like this can be considered dangerous," Cole said with a laugh, electricity sparking in his hands as he did so. "The things I can do, I can tear a lot of shit up. But luckily, I can control who gets hurt by my abilities and who doesn't. Most of the time." If he shocked an innocent by accident, he could make sure it didn't hurt them, but if he was throwing cars or chunks of ice around, or if he was creating an Ionic Vortex to fuck shit up, then everyone else in the line of fire was... shit out of luck.
Still, he didn't think he'd have to be doing much of that any more. Or so he hoped.
As for the permanent marks on his body, Cole smiled and nodded. "Yeah. People and points in my life, you know? I mean, this is in celebration of giving the big middle finger to my parents and becoming a bike courier rather than finishing college." He motioned to the bike chain that wrapped around his upper right arm, beneath the stars that... he definitely didn't get tattooed. "Course, I'll be damned if I know where half of some of these came from. They just sorta, I dunno, manifested when I went to New Marais and tried to help out."
At that he motioned to the stars, the phoenix, and the details on the Rod of Asclepius on his left forearm. How or why that happened, he didn't know. But even the scar on his face looked a bit better after all was said and done. Amazing. Maybe it was another conduit thing that he just didn't get. Sort of like how Sasha got all... dark and creepy. Cole didn't even want to think about the fact that one day his own eyes might glow like Kessler's.
