"Nice to meet you, Meg. I'm Cole." It was nice to get the chance to introduce himself again, like a normal person. And so far, no one had even called him the Demon of Empire City! Seriously, it wasn't half bad. If he was able to make it up to New York and find what he needed there as well, then maybe he'd be able to accept this place as somewhere he could actually live for a while without completely going insane.
Not the freakiest thing, she said. Cole could accept that. Maybe there were worse things in the world than a normal looking guy who controlled all electricity. There was the Beast, after all. What John had turned into was definitely the stuff of nightmares. "Fair enough," he offered to that, letting it be. He wasn't so sure he wanted to hear what worse things there might be out there.
As for the elevator and the stairs, Cole simply looked to the shorter woman and grinned. "Who says those are the only two options?" At that, he winked and headed straight for one of the supporting beams for the open-area second level. Climbing up it with ease, barely finding any challenge in it at all, he hopped over the ledge and voilà! Stairs were for chumps.
