Electronics stores were out of the question, sadly. Just him walking in there might make the whole damned place explode. He might be able to take the damage, but anyone else nearby? Cole didn't even want to think about it. Let alone the cost of the collateral damage otherwise. But maybe a music store, if anywhere just sold music any more, might have a means for him to get in and go out without as much incident.
Glancing down at the MP3 player, he looked at it with a smirk. "I know that pain. Just about every electronic device I touch except for my phone and camera have 'incidents' around me. Explosive kinds. And no one likes having their hand nearly blown off just because they wanted to listen to music." Fortunately for this girl, it looked like her MP3 player was just about done with life and luckily wouldn't be subject to explosion around him any more.
"Guess I have a meeting with the same map. Gotta find somewhere that won't go," at that he made the sound reminiscent of an explosion as electricity crackled between his fingers. All with a borderline childish, cheeky grin on his face, of course.
