Number One had never been hungover before, but she heard plenty of talk about it. Her birthday had been a full 24-hour bender. More than 24 hours, actually, since she started the partying the night before. Now she had to face the day after. Frankly, she was glad she hadn't ended up in jail after her celebratory adventures, but she did wake up with a monster of a headache. Overall, it was the most fun she's had in a long time.
Fortunately, she didn't have a work shift to go to until the evening, so she had all day to recuperate. It was said that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. She also heard that a big helping of diner food was good for settling the stomach after drinking. As she approached The Dive, rummaging in her recently bought bag for her recently bought wallet, she wasn't looking where she was going.
One looked up just as she bowled headlong into the woman in the doorway. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" The collision caused her to drop the wallet she had been fumbling for. She bent to retrieve it. "I didn't see you there. Sorry about that."
