"I don't go Ninja Ash on you," he muttered as kept an eye on their surroundings. Luckily the store wasn't all that busy and the person working the register seemed more invested in their phone than them. "I have no problem with carrying anything." No, it was her carrying things away that he tried to avoid. He may have failed seventy percent of the time (likely one hundred percent but he was being optimistic), but that was his only real issue on browsing in stores. He had a feeling though whatever Bree settled on in here, she'd simply waltz outside in it without paying. Maybe if he bought it for her she'd be less inclined to find anything else...
If Bree noticed when she showed off the new costume, she'd find that Ash's jaw was currently married to the floor and his eyes were wide enough to roll out of his head. While it probably wasn't the worst thing he'd seen her wear, it was certainly the one that made him silently want to get arrested by her. Prison by that might not be so bad.
He quashed that thought as firmly as he could while trying to come up with a reason for her not to wear that. "We're undercover," he quietly reminded her, "we aren't supposed to flaunt what we do. And uh.." Ash had to struggle with keeping his gaze from going below her neck so he glanced at the cashier and rubbed the back of his neck all to avoid Bree's choice outfit, "I don't think the local police dress that way."
