[ooc: Random funny sidenote! Coincidentally, my bf just started playing inFamous2, lol]
The fact that there weren't many people out and about at this hour said something about Red Oak. She was a teenager with an overprotective guardian and a curfew back home, but even she would still be allowed out beyond 10 PM on a school night. That was, if she had things to do that allowed to take advantage of the time, which she didn't often, yet another reason she strove to break Nicholas' rule about keeping her head down and not socializing. In Red Oak, she felt free to be more open about her abilities. Judging by the other transplants she ran across in her time here, it was okay to have powers. Most of the people, in fact, seemed to be different in one way or another. It seemed like they were the majority instead of the minority for once. It was an encouraging thought.
Eager to let loose and maybe cause a little harmless mayhem, Evie thought about her opinions. When it came to elemental manipulation, since she was so new at it, she thought it would be best to restrict it to air and water. They were the less damaging of the elements, in her opinion, as long as she didn't go too heavy with either. She didn't possess enough control to want to risk fire and earth yet. The last thing she wanted to do was accidentally start a conflagration or bring down a building.
The electricity, however, was something that she had not witnessed before. It was equally impressive as Fizban's method of teleportation, but it did not hold the same glamor of magic that the old wizard's display had. Not that it wasn't cool, because it was, but it felt more akin to the Garde's Legacies and the evolved abilities of Sylar's world than magic. "Now that is awesome!" Number One exclaimed.
She had one other special ability in her arsenal. It wasn't a proper birthday celebration unless she scrounged up some alcohol for everyone, and just because she's underage doesn't mean everyone else should have to go without. "So did you manage to convince your friend to come tonight?" she asked. Buffy had said she would try to make, as well as this girl Jubilee who promised fireworks, which always made an event more festive. "We should probably get some drinks for people. I have cash, but since I'm not 21..." She blinked innocently and then smirked. "Either I can fork over the cash and you can pick some stuff up or I can 'sweet talk' the liquor store attendant into treating us," she said complete with air quotes. It wasn't a nice thing to suggest taking over someone's mind and bending it to her will, but it was a possibility.
