Honestly, Cole didn't even think twice about the location suggestion for a party or accepting to meet the birthday girl in question. This small town was so small that it was already driving him mental, and with no quick or easy means to get away, he figured he was stuck here until he thought up a proper plan to hike his way up to New York. Now that he'd spent the time looking everything up, he saw that Empire City was known by the unimaginative name of 'New York City' in this world, and that it was completely, 100 percent in tact. Everyone there was alive, there was no such thing as the Plague or the Beast, and all was well in the world there. Cole needed to see it one day, it was his home, the place he felt the most comfortable. But for now... this was it.
So hey, why not meet new people? After all, some of them, including other transplants might have some ideas or ways of getting there that didn't involve getting in a car or a plane, because Cole couldn't do either. For now, he had walking as his only option, or perhaps taking a slow-as-hell boat ride, which really didn't sound that awesome. He did that once and dreaded every second of it.
As Cole made way to the Venus Unlimited building, which was still a woefully small building to what he was used to, he couldn't help but think there would definitely be some interesting brains to pick for ideas as he watched a young blonde girl levitate and climb her way up the building. Huh. Another conduit? Or something else entirely? Cas had mentioned other realities and from what little talk he'd heard amongst others from this town, there were all kinds of abilities being shown around this little place. How sweet was that?
Standing on the roof of the building across the street, having taken the rooftop route the whole way here, Cole stepped to the ledge, checked the height difference, and stepped back. This would be easy, and after taking a moment to think about how this would either make Kuo proud or have her bitching in his ear, Cole ran towards the edge of the building and manifested an ice stalagmite beneath his feet, launching him high enough into the air to land safely on the roof of the Venus Unlimited building. Hell, it was almost too easy! Maybe it was time to start exploring that seemingly deserted city nearby... to hell with the 'keep out' signs. Since when did he ever pay attention to those anyway?
Once he straightened himself out and offered a grin to the girl, he said, "I gotta admit, it's still kind of weird knowing that I'm not the only person with powers around here. First I meet an 'angel', now a girl with telekinesis. But hey, I can dig it." At that he offered a hand to shake, "Cole MacGrath. Nice to meet you and happy birthday."
Honestly, if there was anyone who could throw this girl an awesome party, Cole thought to himself, it was Zeke. Once more his best friend's absence was noted and it bothered him greatly. For so long all he'd had was Zeke, and suddenly not having him? It was weird as hell.
