"I know, I was there." He said in reference to the press conference she had obviously been watching. There had almost been outed, but Peter himself had made a point to stop that although he had come from a far different time than the one sitting in front of her, and as far as Peter knew from the very same nightmare that had stolen her power while leaving her very much alive, it would be Claire to oust them for good. How it changed the future, he didn't know and it was very likely he wouldn't.
"I don't know if he's alright, but Parkman was there, so I don't imagine he stayed still for long." No, Parkman would have been smart enough to call an ambulance to get him to a hospital regardless of the media frenzy that would have errupted with all the press surrounding them. He sure hoped so since it didn't seem like he would be getting back to that time anytime soon. When the waitress came over, he gave a standard breakfast order before she walked off, leaving his coffee which he was quick to take up and sip, not at all bothered by the burn since it would just heal up anyway.
"That's where I was before I came here," he admitted, "I had tracked down the person who shot him... and got teleported here." The way he said it could have easily gave her the assumption it had been Hiro to do it, but Peter had no intention to frame his friend and perhaps longest ally when it came to saving the cheerleader and the world. "It wasn't Hiro though. It was me, from the future."
