What was becoming commonplace was Raizo's ability to disappoint Jubilee. While she expected (or simply just hoped) he would drink to excess, he didn't have that sort of personality that did anything in excess. Arguably, he was efficient, but never overindulgent. The young ninja was far too simple from his training for her entertainment value. Unlike the chocolate, the sugar didn't overwhelm him like the chocolate. He had preemptively expected to hate it, but he actually found himself enjoying the fruity taste.
"We were very... controlled," he answered, "We ate, slept and trained as a clan. There wasn't any time for enjoyment and we never felt it was missing from our lives." That was how they controlled them. Getting them as children, molding their minds from a young age while they were still impressionable. "We disagreed on values," he said simply, "And I decided to go my own way, as you may have gathered from our previous conversations, they don't allow for anyone to just leave. There is a price." And that price was blood of the heart.
