"Yeah, I get that, and ya know, thanks and all. But I didn't just fall of the Sugar Bombs truck. I've been in hairy situations for years, so even if I'm getting riled up, I'm not hysterical. I like to think it takes more than imminent death to freak me out." Jubilee checked their surroundings, looking for what might house a pay phone these days, and pointed toward a small corner store. "Jackpot. We can try there for all our info needs." Without waiting for him to agree, Jubilee ran across the street in a rush to get some kind of answers.
There was no pay phone outside, much to her dismay, so she headed inside to look or ask for one. There wasn't a whole lot to see in the small store, as it was just a convenience store with a gas station to go with it, but it had all of the things Jubilee could ever want for her food cravings and it took all her will power not to spend what money she had on the over priced candy bars. Luckily for her sugar whims and light wallet, she spotted a payphone in the back and once she was next to it, she got to work calling Xavier's. She found herself greeted by an automated message saying the number wasn't in service. With a frown, she began trying all the numbers she could remember off hand, each leading to the same message. "This can't be right," she muttered as she put the phone back in the cradle. "I can't reach anyone."
