"I am just trying to keep you alive," Raizo explained to her, shrugging his shoulders. She sounded to be getting excitable by the way her voice sounded, but maybe he was just that calm of a person that the stark contrast between them lead to misunderstandings. He didn't claim to know her and didn't expect any understanding about his person either. They were still practically strangers who inhabited the same place. It may even be temporarily. "While you make your call, you get us an address to find the police," he reasoned, having no objections to her call. Unless when they got there she started acting evasive about her conversation. That could cause him to keep more alert of her like he had done initially. Everyone had secrets, he was no different, but he didn't feel comfortable in having secrets with her yet. It wasn't that he didn't want to respect her privacy. He just didn't want to end up dead because he mistakenly trusted in someone he shouldn't have. She didn't have much reason to trust him either, minus his attacking a monster that was terrorizing small children. Aside from that, they were only together for survival purposes. She may have called him "friend" but he figured that was because children had simple understandings.
